  • Students and self-taught developers preparing for their first job.

About this course

Git is the tool almost every software team uses to save work, try ideas and collaborate. It is also hard to learn from text alone, because everything it does happens out of sight.

This course makes that work visible. Every lesson animates exactly what Git does to your files, your commits and your branches, then asks you to do it yourself. Each lesson takes a few minutes and ends with a summary of the key ideas and the real commands, so you can return to it later.

You start with what a commit is and finish working on a team: pushing to GitHub, opening pull requests, reviewing a colleague’s code and recovering from the mistakes everyone makes along the way.

Every command and its output is checked against Git’s official documentation and a real terminal.

Created by software professionals with a decade of industry experience.
