1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Step Through Code (“we”, “us”), an online learning service based in India that offers self-paced, interactive courses. By using the site or buying a course, you accept these terms and our privacy policy.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy a course. Free lessons need no account.
  • You can sign in with Google, GitHub or an email link. An account is for one person and may not be shared.

3. Purchases and payment

Courses are sold through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which processes your payment, charges any applicable tax and issues your receipt. Prices are listed on our pricing page, and the total for your country, including tax, is shown at checkout before you pay. Price changes never affect a purchase already made.

4. Access and delivery

Each purchase gives you access to one course for 12 months from the date of purchase. Courses are delivered online: the course unlocks in your account as soon as your payment is confirmed, and works in any modern browser.

A purchase is a one-time payment, not a subscription, and nothing renews automatically. When your access ends, the paid lessons lock and your progress stays saved. If a course does not unlock after payment, email support@stepthroughcode.com with your order number and we will fix it.

5. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 7 days of purchase, as long as you have completed less than 40% of the course. See the refund policy.

If you live in the EU or UK, you ask for the course to be delivered straight away when you buy it, and you accept that your legal right to withdraw ends once you start the paid course.

6. Use of the courses

All course content belongs to Step Through Code. While you have access, you may use it for your own learning. You may not copy, record, share or resell lesson content, or bypass access checks.

7. Reviews

If you have full access to a course and have completed three of its lessons, you can rate it and write a review. If your access ends, for example after a refund, your review is no longer shown. Reviews must be your own honest experience and must not contain abuse, personal data or advertising. You keep ownership of your review and allow us to show it on our site with your first name and last initial. We may hide reviews that break these rules, but we never edit their text or hide them for being negative.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can ask us to delete your account at any time through support@stepthroughcode.com. Deleting your account ends access to any purchased courses and does not by itself issue a refund.

9. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version.
